Our Team
Doug MacCormack, Pastor
Pastor Doug MacCormack and his wife Kim have been married for over 30 years and have three children, Beth, Josh and Ashley. Pastor MacCormack followed God’s very evident leading to start Crossroads Baptist Church in the fall of 1990. God has blessed Pastor and Mrs. MacCormack and Crossroads Baptist Church in a miraculous way these many years. Our church is known in the area as the “Church with a Heart” and that truly sums up the heart of our Pastor. Pastor MacCormack has a passion for reaching the lost and helping people, and he is still preaching the same unchanging truths from God’s Word that he began preaching over 25 years ago. As a young girl, Mrs. MacCormack was reached through the bus ministry; now our church buses, an integral part of the ministries here, strive to make a difference for Christ in the lives of other young people. Today, Mrs. MacCormack teaches full time at Crossroads Baptist Academy and is the administrative secretary for our church and school.
Bob Stortenbecker
Bob Stortenbecker and his wife Karen have been serving in the ministries of our church and school since 2000. Bob is an Assistant Pastor for our church and is the Principal of Crossroads Baptist Academy. He and his wife teach full time in our school, and also teach the Building Lives Couples Class in our Sunday School. In addition, he preaches weekly in our 4th-7th grade Children’s Church and is a faithful bus captain. The Stortenbecker's have been married for over 30 years and have five children, Bobby, Kristi, Karis, Zach and David.
Josh MacCormack
Josh MacCormack and his wife Ashleigh have been serving here since 2009. Josh is our Music Director and Youth Pastor, and his wife Ashleigh, our church pianist, enjoys helping her husband in both ministries. The MacCormack's have three girls, Carlie, Chloe, and Chrissie.
Ben Quackenbush
Ben Quackenbush and his wife Ashley have been part of the ministry of Crossroads Baptist Church since the summer of 2015. While just a young man, Ben felt God’s call to serve him full-time. He followed the Lord’s leading to Bible college, where he met Ashley, the youngest daughter of Pastor & Mrs. MacCormack. After graduation, they married and moved back to Dothan to serve the Lord together. In addition to teaching at Crossroads Baptist Academy, they oversee the singles ministry and are heavily involved in the music and bus ministries.
Daniel Rush
Daniel Rush grew up in a Christian home and was saved at the age of 5. He surrendered his life to serve the Lord in 2020, and completed pastoral studies in Bible college in 2024. While attending college, he had the opportunity to tour with a men’s singing group for several years, and visited Crossroads for the first time as a member of this group. During his senior year in college, Pastor MacCormack asked Daniel to consider serving in the ministries here following his graduation, and he and his wife, Dynah, moved to Dothan in the summer of 2024. Daniel and Dynah both jumped right in to the ministries of CBC and are currently serving in the bus and music ministries as well as teaching at Crossroads Baptist Academy. Daniel and Dynah have been married since 2023, and have a sweet baby girl, Kassidee Jo.
Kristiana Stortenbecker
Kristiana has been a faithful member of Crossroads Baptist Church since childhood. A valedictory graduate of Crossroads Baptist Academy, Kristi felt the Lord’s leading to serve Him in a full-time way from an early age, and chose to attend Bible college to train for ministry service. After graduating in 2016, she moved back to Dothan and has been an integral part of our church and school ministries ever since. Kristi taught kindergarten with excellence for several years, and now manages both our church and school offices.
